dude...i'm likin' the layout, but i would suggest three things.
1. you left justify the far-left column (which is currently centred)
2. change the colour scheme a bit - some of the reds and blues are doing weird 3D stuff on my screen...
3. i find the empty right-column to be a little unbalanced at the top...making it grey might fix it...thoughts?

Actaully as a mom of a MSM child, I like the site,, but I find the writing in dark ink on the dark background impossible to read..
Have mercy on old eyes..LOL
